Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department / Team: Maintenance
Reports to: Health and Safety Manager
Location: Unit 50 Enterprise Park.

Purpose of Role

To ensure the proper functioning, repair, and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and systems to maintain operational efficiency and safety.

Main Tasks and Duties

  • Completing routine and emergency repairs to fixtures, fittings, and building services.
  • Conduct routine inspection of building services, and respond to reports of broken/faulty items.
  • Liaising, contracting, and managing external contractors.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance, and complete associated documentation.
  • PAT testing.
  • Racking/shelving inspection, along with other Health and Safety inspections.
  • Maintenance of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures, carrying out routine checks, fault finding, and planned maintenance.
  • Follow our in-house maintenance schedule to ensure all routine tasks are completed.
  • In some cases, performing basic general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, minor electrical repairs, and carpentry work.
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and costs incurred.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Communicating with supervisors, colleagues, and other staff members to coordinate maintenance activities and provide updates on work progress.

Knowledge, skills, experience, competencies, and qualifications required:

Essential
  • Previous demonstrable maintenance experience.
  • Proactive, problem-solving approach to your work.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, with excellent communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
Desirable
  • Factory demonstratable maintenance experience.
  • Computer literate
  • PAT testing qualification
