Hours: Full Time, 39 Hours a week

Main Purpose of Role

To support the Stores Supervisor in ensuring the continued running of the Stores department.

Main Tasks and Duties

  • Picking component kits
  • Kitting component kits
  • Counting components
  • Processing and providing production shortages
  • Investigating and resolving various stock related issues
  • Processing completed kits and returning components to stock
  • Booking in parcels received at Goods In
  • Transporting components and other items between Units.
  • Verification of components

As measured by:

  • Consistently accurate work
  • Timely delivery of kits to production
  • Minimal amount of stock related production delays

Person Specification – Essential

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs 4-9 (A*-C) or equivalent including English and Maths

Skills and Abilities

  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Concise communicator
  • Ability to problem solve effectively

  • Uncompromising Work Ethic
  • Reliable
  • Must have great attention to detail
  • Friendly and polite disposition

Working Relationships

The postholder will work under the supervision of the Stores Supervisor but will also be expected to work under their own initiative.

There is a need for excellent communication and continued maintenance of relationships with all staff.

Terms and Conditions:

  • This is a permanent full-time appointment.
  • The Contract of Employment will be based on the provisions of the Prototype Electronics Ltd Terms and Conditions and contract.
  • The salary for this post will be in the range of (£11.50) dependent on skills and experience
  • Working Hours will be Mon-Thurs 7am – 5:15pm
  • The annual leave entitlement will be 5.6 weeks per annum to be taken during the period 1 January to 31 December inc agreed Statutory Bank Holidays and company closure days. (Pro rata for part-time of fixed-term appointments).
  • The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a 3-month Probationary Period with interim reviews after 1 and 2 months.
  • The notice period will be statutory on either side.
  • Membership of the NEST pension is available.
  • The appointment is subject to the company receiving satisfactory references.
