Main Purpose of the role:
We are introducing a brand-new role to our finance team.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our Accounts Manager. This is a role that combines essential financial processing with valuable analytical work to drive business decisions.

This is a hands-on, analytical role that will focus on understanding and improving how we report on job-level profitability, forecast cash flow, and identify where our most profitable work lies.

You will play a key role in shaping how financial data is used across the business — you will have full ownership of creating and building the reporting tools and templates needed to make that happen.

You will work closely with the Accounts Manager and wider team, supporting them with operational finance tasks as required, but your main focus will be data-driven analysis and reporting.

Main Tasks and Duties

  • Create and maintain custom financial and performance reports from scratch.
  • Analyse per-job profitability using data from our MRP system.
  • Work to clean, validate, and improve the quality of MRP data outputs.
  • Present insights in a clear and usable format to support commercial decision-making.
  • Build simple forecasting tools to support cash flow planning and resource allocation.
  • Support the accounts department with day-to-day operational duties as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align operational and financial data.Develop repeatable processes for tracking and reporting key performance metrics.
